OBITUARY

Mrs. Esther M. Lona a native of Southern California,  passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020.  Mrs. Lona was born in Willowbrook, Ca.  and attended Compton Junior College.  She was married to the “Love of Her Life” Romolo and they were together for 64 years.

She loved adventure by car or RV, and always enjoyed a cup tea  with family and friends. With her husband she loved being the “co-Forman” while working on projects together.

Her heart was not only for husband Ron, but belonged to her 4 children.  She would say they were 4 years apart so she always had young one to love, as if they were an only child.  Her home was always big enough for just one or 10 more.   She would have her children’s friends or family stay for short or long periods.  Then there was the array of dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens and her beloved adopted turtle Myrtle.

As a young woman she loved baseball.  She could either be a righty or a south paw.  She supported the LA Angel’s for over 12 years with her husband, grandson and daughter.

Mrs. Lona is survived by 4 children, 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  She was employed by the City of Los Angeles, for The Division of Parks and Recreation as a Costume Seamstress.

Mrs. Lona will be Laid to Rest at All Souls Catholic Cemetery on the last Friday of September 2020.
